This practical device benefits ice cream parlours, chocolate shops, patisseries, and restaurants. It allows you to coat ice cream or waffles with a delicious layer of chocolate. You can also use it to make drip cakes, pralines, and other treats.

Low Melting Temperature

A challenge when melting chocolate is preventing it from burning. Since chocolate melts at low temperatures, it is advisable not to set the temperature too high so that the chocolate melts slowly and evenly. The digital display shows the exact temperature of the water and the GN containers. You can adjust the temperature up or down using the arrow keys. This is especially important for white chocolate, which melts at 36 °C, increasing the risk of burning compared to dark or milk chocolate.

Chocolate Callets

This chocolate melter is easy to use. Fill the water reservoir with water; make sure the water level is between the minimum and maximum marks. Place the 4 GN containers of 1/6 size and 10 cm depth into the chocolate melter. Turn on the chocolate melter and set the desired temperature. A control light on the display indicates when the chocolate melter has reached the correct temperature. Now fill the GN containers with chocolate. It is best to use chocolate callets for this purpose. These are chocolate in drop form and special melting chocolate. You can also use a bar, which you should cut into small pieces before putting it into the GN container. However, there is a possibility that some harder chocolate pieces remain in it. Stir occasionally and remove the GN container from the melting device when the chocolate is sufficiently melted.

Prevent Clumps in the Chocolate

Since the four GN containers stand side by side, there is a high risk with this chocolate melter that water will get into the chocolate. If this water falls into the chocolate, the chocolate clumps. For this reason, we recommend placing the supplied lids on the GN containers before removing a container from the chocolate melter. The lids have a practical cut-out for a spoon, so you can stir occasionally without having to remove the spoon from the container. It is also more convenient to first remove the front GN containers from the chocolate melter and then the rear ones. This reduces the risk of spilling water.

Steam and Water Drain

This chocolate melter is equipped with two practical drains on the side of the device. The upper drain is the steam release valve. You can open and close this drain. Make sure the steam release valve is open when the device is switched on. This allows the hot air from the hot water to be released through the drain valve. This has the advantage that you don't burn yourself on the steam when you want to take out a GN container. The bottom drain is used for draining the water from the device. After melting the chocolate, you can open this drain to clean the device. Connect a drain hose to the drain or place the chocolate melter next to the sink. The water can then be discharged into the sink via the drain pipe.

Easy Cleaning of the Chocolate Melter

To clean the chocolate melter, unplug it from the socket. Make sure the device and the water have cooled sufficiently. Drain the water from the chocolate melter via the water drain and dry the device thoroughly inside and out. Clean the GN containers and lids with warm water and a mild detergent. Proper drying of these loose parts is important to prevent the GN containers from rusting.
