This charcoal or briquette starter is ideal for igniting charcoal quickly, safely and efficiently. The igniter is made of aluminized steel and features a "cool touch" handle. We recommend wearing heat-resistant gloves.

Take brown firelighters and place about three of them on the charcoal grill grate. Fill the chimney with charcoal or briquettes and place it over the firelighters. Light the firelighters and wait about 15 to 30 minutes until the coals/briquettes have white edges all around. They are then hot enough to pour into the grill. Store the chimney in a safe place afterwards.
