The cast iron charcoal grate is located at the bottom of the ceramic firebox of the Kamado. The coals rest on the charcoal grate, and the holes in the grate ensure good air circulation. The charcoal grate is supplied as standard with the grill, but after some time the grate may need to be replaced.
