Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use our online shop — regardless of physical abilities or the technology they rely on. This statement describes how accessible gastro-nik.com currently is, where limitations remain, and how you can report barriers to us.

Scope and legal basis

This statement applies to the online shop www.gastro-nik.com, operated by Firma addur, owner Artur Nikolić, Stromberger Straße 37a, 55444 Seibersbach, Germany. It is based on the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG), which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act) into German law. The applicable benchmark is the EN 301 549 standard and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

Compliance status

This online shop is largely compliant with the requirements named above. On 19 September 2026 we tested the most important page types (home, category and product pages, cart, search, contact, guides) with the axe-core testing engine against WCAG 2.1 (levels A and AA). All issues found were fixed; the final run completed without objections. Such a self-assessment does not replace a full formal audit against EN 301 549. In building the shop, we pay attention to, among other things:

  • a clear heading structure and semantic HTML so screen readers can present pages in a meaningful way,
  • labels (ARIA labels) on controls such as search, cart and menus,
  • alternative text for product images,
  • high-contrast presentation of text and controls,
  • scalable text and a layout optimised for mobile devices,
  • keyboard operability — with a clearly visible focus outline and a skip-to-content link.

Content that is not, or only partially, accessible

  • Manufacturer PDF documents (such as data sheets and operating manuals) are mostly not prepared for accessibility.
  • Some product images, mainly older ones, do not yet carry meaningful alternative text.
  • Embedded third-party content (for example 360-degree product views) may not be fully accessible.

We are happy to provide any product information personally — by phone or email.
