What is Gastronorm?

Gastronorm is a worldwide standard for the size of these containers. The great advantage is that they can be used in combination with many large kitchen appliances due to their identical dimensions. This GN container is suitable, for example, for ovens, refrigerators, freezers, saladettes, displays, bain maries and even chafing dishes. Using GN containers with the same dimensions makes work in the kitchen much more efficient. Furthermore, the GN container meets the European food safety requirements.

Advantages of Polycarbonate

The use of polycarbonate in GN containers offers many advantages. This material is virtually unbreakable and transparent on all sides, allowing the contents of the container to be seen. It is also an odourless and tasteless material that does not absorb these characteristics from the food. The biggest advantage, however, lies in the easy cleaning. GN containers made of polycarbonate are dishwasher-safe, dry quickly, and are temperature resistant from -40 to 100°C. This GN container also features folded edges and rounded corners for additional grip, making it safe and easy to handle.
